Dniel's segatools now support option loading. Make sure you have the latest release (2024-08-20 or newer).

In mu3.ini, make sure this is disabled:

[AM]
OptionDev=0

Launch the game. You can be sure options are loaded when the version in the bottom right corner has a letter (e.g. 1.45-A as opposed to just 1.45).

If the steps above didn't work, open mu3_Data\StreamingAssets\GameData\RomConfig.xml and make sure optDir is set to C:/mount/Option/. If it wasn't, your data had been tampered with.
